Century Plyboards’s Q2 Results for Financial Year 2018-19

Kolkata, Nov 06 (UNI) India’s leading plywood company, Century Plyboards (I) Ltd., has announced its results for the second quarter of FY 18-19.
Net Revenue from operations for the Second Quarter, ending September 40, 2018-19 fiscal, was Rs 564.44 crore, an increase of 19 per cent over corresponding period of last financial year (474.56 crore).
Profit After Tax for the quarter ending September 30, 2018-19, was Rs.37.81 crores, showing a decrease of 6 per cent over corresponding period of last financial year (Rs. 40.14 crores)
Plywood and Particle Board have performed exceptionally well during the quarter under review.
Stable market conditions led to healthy growth in revenue.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr Sanjay Agarwal, Managing Director, Century Plyboards(I) Ltd said “We are glad to witness robust development in plywood and particle board segment with 19 per cent top line growth. Considerably higher sales in MDF segment has also contributed in the progress and we expect this will have a larger role to play in company developments in future. Laminates has also done well. Government has recently launched a Radio-frequency identification system which will help to formalize the unorganized economy in years to come and in turn will be beneficial for the company.”
