Patna, March 27 (UNI) Finance Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Monday alleged that Centre was meting out step-motherly treatment to Bihar despite best performance of the state in several sectors including on a number of issues including fiscal one.
Chaudhary while replying to debate on the debate on Bihar Appropriation Bill in Assembly, said that despite its limited resources, the state government had performed well on several parameters including fiscal one.
Last year, Bihar had registered a growth of 10.98 per cent while the national average growth rate was only 8.7 per cent in the same financial year, he added.
