Centre & Bihar Govt insensitive to Encephalitis deaths: Cong

New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) Expressing concern over the death of nearly 126 children in Bihar due to encephalitis, the Congress on Wednesday said that the insensitivity of the centre and the Bihar Government was responsible for the situation.

‘’The state government in this situation has been unprepared and insensitive. The Bihar health minister seems to be more interested about knowing cricket scores than about the deaths of children due to encephalitis,’’AICC spokesperson Gaurab Gogoi told reporters here.

Describing Encephalitis as a problem that was not just limited to Bihar but a national problem, he said,’’the centre should work with the Governments of the states which are prone to the disease.’’

He also called for a proper coordination between the Centre and the state government in this regard.

He also called on the central government to come up with a proper national health roadmap.
