Chennai, Apr 11 (UNI) Following Cauvery water dispute and safety concerns, the franchise of Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday decided to shift base for their coming matches in IPL 11.
Earlier, in the first match only, Chennai had to face protests and agitators also threatened to obstruct further matches.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chennai Super Kings Kashi Viswanathan met the Commissioner of Police of Chennai on Wednesday, who advised him to take the matches out of Chennai, in view of the Cauvery dispute and the ongoing demonstrations in the city.
According to an official of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, tickets were stopped for match against Rajasthan Royals on April 20.
