Caring for nature is essential to safeguard humanity: Guterres

New York, June 5 (UNI) United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in his 'World Environment Day' message on Friday said that caring for nature is crucial to human well being and consideration for the environment should be a part of all important policies that we adopt.
"To care for humanity, we must care for nature. As we work to build back better, let’s put nature where it belongs - at the heart of our decision making. On WorldEnvironmentDay and every day, it’s time for nature" he appealed on twitter.
He also put up a 79-second long video message along with the tweet, where he emphasised, among other things on adopting a sustainable lifestyle.
