Capital row: Police issue notices to leaders in capital region

Amaravati, Jan 18 (UNI) In view of the call by the leaders of opposition parties' for lay siege the Assembly and organise 'Jail Bharo' programme on January 20, the police issued notices to the leaders of farmers unions and political parties in the capital region on Saturday warning them not to carry out such agitations.
The police in the notice to the leaders said that as per the newspaper reports, the opposition party leaders had given call to lay siege the Assembly on January 20. The Assembly special sessions of Andhra Pradesh begin on January 20. CPI senior leader Muppalla Nageswara Rao and some TDP leaders received notices under Section 149 CRPC from the police today.
The police in the notice said that vehicular traffic would be disrupted and public and private properties might be damaged, if agitations were organised during Assembly session and asked them not to organise such agitations.
