The sectoral indices led by Auto, Capital Goods, IT, Bankex,
Finance, Technology, Materials, Energy and Health Care slipped by up
to 1.69 per cent.
Top losers on Sensex were Hero MotoCorp, HDFC, SBI, ICICI Bank and
Infosys, declining by up to 2.63 pc.
Tata Motors declined 0.59 pc after the auto major announced on
Tuesday that its global wholesale in January 2019, including Jaguar
Land Rover, were at 1,00,572 units, lower by 12 pc as compared to
January 2018.
L&T fell 0.48 pc.
Hindalco Industries fell 0.7 pc even as the company announced today
that its profit-after-tax rose 47.31 pc to Rs 713 crore on 8.09 pc
rise in revenue from operations to Rs 11,938 crore in Q3 December
2018 over Q3 December 2017.
