Budget Session: 8004 cases related to Posco Act Cyber Fraud and NDPS registered in Jharkhand

Ranchi, March 20 (UNI) The state government on Monday admitted in the house that a total of 8004 cases related to POSCO Act Cyber Fraud and NDPS Act have been registered in Jharkhand.
Earlier a matter in this regard was raised during the question hour by BJP legislator Manish Jaiswal who pointed out how the state government is not paying proper attention to trial cases related to POCSO, Cyber and NDPS Act in the last three years. He said till date in Hazaribagh and other districts of the state, the government has not been able to appoint special public prosecutors to punish those guilty of violating these acts, due to which the hearing of these cases is being affected.
Replying to the matter, Minister Aalamgir Aalam said that during the last three years, 3388 cases have been registered in the state under POCSO Act, 2972 in Cyber and 1644 under the NDPS Act. Together, a total of 8004 cases have been registered.
