BJP trying to gain sympathy of people over Parrikar's health: Congress

Panaji, Nov 3 (UNI) The Congress in Goa on Saturday alleged that the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was trying to gain sympathy of people over sufferings of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarters in the city, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) spokesperson Jitendra Deshprabhu alleged that the central leadership of the BJP was trying to gain sympathy of people over the sufferings of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar presuming that it would translate into votes in the Lok Sabha elections.
'When Mr Parrikar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in February this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited him and inquired about his health. He could have asked him to resign and take rest but he did not do so..It is unfortunate that the BJP leaders are taking undue advantage of health of the chief minister. ..It is a well calculated plan of the BJP leaders,' he alleged.
