BJP to contest UP polls on development agenda: Union Min

Satna, MP, Jun 26 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore today said that the BJP will contest the coming Uttar Pradesh elections on poll planks of development and good governance.
Mr Rathore, who was here to apprise public about achievements and schemes of the two-year-old Narendra Modi Government, made the statement while talking to media. He was accompanied by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram.
Mr Rathore said that the Modi regime connected poor people to banks through the ‘Jan Dhan’ scheme and its benefits would be seen in future. Describing the recently-launched Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana as a boon for peasants, he said the Centre was serious about its implementation. Besides, lakhs of poor families are being provided gas connections under the Ujjwala Scheme.
