BJP-SS govt responsible for delaying Maratha Reservation: Patole

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Dec 8 (UNI) Nana Patole, former MP of Bandara-Gondiya constituency on Saturday alleged that the present BJP-Shiv Sena led state government is responsible for delaying in declaration of reservation to Maratha community in the state.
Talking to media persons on Saturday morning, Mr Patole said that, a GR of 16 per cent reservation was issued in the Congress-led government in 2014 before Assembly election, but it was challenged in court and did not stand in the Supreme Court.
"That time, the newly BJP state government would have pleaded government's side in the Apex Court in favour of reservation, we could have saved more than 40 lives of Maratha youths, who sacrificed their lives for reservation," he said.
