BJP's popularity forcing Oppn to search for alliance in UP: Maurya

Lucknow, Nov 2(UNI) Uttar Pradesh BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya today said the upswing in party’s popularity has sent opposition parties in a huddle and now they are looking for alliance as they know that would be decimated in the coming assembly election in the state.
“As the elections are drawing near the opposition parties are realising the strength of party’s organisation. The Opposition parties know they are no match to BJP therefore they are scouting for allies,” Mr Maurya said in a statement issued here.
The BJP state president was reacting to the recent visit of Samajwadi Party state president Shivpal Singh Yadav to Delhi where he met leaders of Janata Dal (U) and RLD. Reports said Congress strategist Prashant Kishore met Mulayam Singh Yadav in New Delhi at the residence of Amar Singh.
