Panaji, Sep 18 (UNI) While the Congress is waiting for an appointment with Goa Governor Mridula Sinha a day after it submitted ta memorandum to the Raj Bhavan wherein it demanded that the party be given an opportunity to form government in the state, a Congress MLA on Tuesday claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state was in minority and the opposition party had a right to claim to form a government.
Speaking to reporters in the city, Aleixo Reginaldo, a Congress MLA from Curtorim constituency said,'We have asked an appointment with the governor. The Goa government is in minority. We have a right to stake claim to form a government.”
The opposition MLAs had submitted a memorandum to the Raj Bhavan on Monday demanding that the BJP-led government be dismissed and Congress being single largest party in the state be invited to form government.
