BJP condemns Owaisi's unprovoked insinuation against Hindus

Hyderabad, Feb 21 (UNI) The Telangana unit of BJP on Friday strongly condemned AIMIM leader Waris Pathan's unprovoked insinuation against the Hindus through his speech, during an anti-CAA rally in Karnataka.
In a statement here, party chief spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao said a woman sloganeering 'Pakistan Zindabad' and Mr Pathan's statements clearly establish the real agenda behind the anti-CAA protests, led by parties like AIMIM, Congress, Communists, TRS and AITC.
Under the guise of opposing CAA, these opportunist, communal parties are leading a divisive agenda against the country, Mr Rao alleged.
He said AIMIM Chief MP Asaduddin Owaisi did neither stall Mr Pathan's speech, nor condemn the venomous communal statements made by him, it said.
Mr Rao even questioned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) over the issue, saying that he should have condemned the threatening statements made against Hindus by the AIMIM leader and the anti-national slogans raised at a meeting in Karnataka.
Can KCR still claim to be 'secular' leader by being associated with the AIMIM, while that party is making hateful, insinuating statements against Hindus with a communal agenda? Shouldn't KCR, as the president of TRS, clear his party's position on the 'Pakistan Zindabad' statements made at an AIMIM meeting, he asked.
The duplicity and hypocrisy of Congress, Communist and TRS parties, along with many self-proclaimed secular watchdogs, is exposed with their conspicuous silence on the brazen communal threat made by the AIMIM party leader, the statement added.
An 18-year-old girl, later identified as Amulya, hailing from Koppa in Chikkamagaluru district, had raised pro-Pakistan slogans at an event on Thursday, where Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi was at the dais.
