BJP blames statements by Cong, AAP for Delhi violence ; questions silence of Cong on role of AAP's Tahir Hussain

New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) The BJP on Thursday accused both the Congress and the AAP of "politicising" the violence in the national capital and alleged that provocative statements by the leaders of the two parties were to blame for the violent clashes.
Addressing a press conference here, Union Minister and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar accused Congress of politicising the Delhi issue. The Saffron party also accused AAP of 'communalising' the issue.
He said the situation is under control.
'Arrests have been made and the enquiry is fast-tracked,' Mr Javadekar said.
He said it is duty of every political party to consolidate peace and have dialogue with the people.
He said Congress president held the rally at Ramlila Maidan after the CAA was passed.
Questioning the silence of the Congress leaders on the role of AAP leader Tahir Hussain in the violence, Mr javadekar said that explosives have been found from house of leader of the AAP.
"There is a selective silence", Mr Javadekar said while attacking AAP and Congress over the recent Delhi violence.
'Hope people behind the will be unmasked soon,'he said..
'Congress trying to divert attention from their own responsibility.
Blaming the statements by Congres and AAP leaders for the violence, he said,'this is not a 2-day violence. It was a pot put on a boiler for 2 months.'
In this context, he referred to the statements by the Congress president Sonia Gandhi at a recent rally at ramlila maidan and recent comments by party leader Rahul Gandhi.
On the Congress demand for resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah, he said,'demanding resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah by the grand old party is petty politics.'
He said peace was restored in two days due to the efforts made by Mr Shah.
A total of 106 people have been arrested and 18 FIRs registered till now in connection with the violence which erupted in North East Delhi, following clashes between supporters and protesters of Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) since Sunday.
