Ranchi, Jul 23 (UNI) ​Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the power generated from bio gas will not only provide green energy but will also keep the villages clean and will make the villagers strong and self dependent.
​Addressing a workshop organized on ‘gobar-dhan yojana’ at the project building here, he said cleanliness will help to remove the diseases from the villages. He asked the women of the self help groups to prepare a list of cattle available in the villages and should erect a ‘gobar gas’ plant outside the village which will to produce green energy and organic fertilizer.
​He said, the organic fertilizer will be given to the farmers who are supplying cow dung for the plant and the left over can be sold to earn additional income. He said that for installing the gobar gas plant, the central government is providing 100 per cent subsidy to gram panchayat model while the women self help group model are being provided a subsidy of 70 per cent.
