Badrinarain to contest from Madhubani on VIP ticket

Patna, Apr 06 (UNI) Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP), a constituent of Grand Alliance, today announced that Badrinarain Purvey would be party candidate from Madhubani seat in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.

President of VIP Mukesh Sahni told media persons here that Mr Purvey would be the candidate of the party from Madhubani seat while Dr Bhushan Chaudhary Nishad had already been announced as candidate from Muzaffarpur seat. Mr Chaudhary is also the treasurer of the party.



Mr Sahni said that he would himself contest from Khagari seat and had also filed nomination paper from there. As per seat sharing arrangement in Grand Alliance, Congress was to contest on 9 seats, RLSP on 5 seats, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and VIP on 3 seats each while one seat had been left for CPI(ML) from RJD quota of 20 seats, so the party would contest only on 19 seats, he stated.
