Babul Supriyo posts pics of his harassment inside JU on his Facebook account

Kolkata, Sep 20 (UNI) Union Minister Babul Supriyo, who was assaulted and heckled for over five hours by a section Leftist Jadavpur University students before being rescued and evacuated by Governor Jagdeep Dhankar from the varsity campus on Thursday night, today posted some pictures of his harassment on his Facebook account in anticipation that the Mamata Banerjee
government may take lawful action.
" This is the guy who led the assault. we will find him out and then see what MamataDidi does to him in terms of charging him for assault without any provocation whatsoever from our/my side," the union minister for environment and climate change said.
The picture shows that the "guy", identified as Debanjan alias Piku, claiming an activist of the United Students Democratic Front (USDF), the student wing of a Naxalite faction, was pulling the hair with his right hand and the minister was in pain.
" These are self-proclaimed Naxalites.. the one with a red band ( forehead) and the one with blue stripe shirt - he is the one who can be seen holding my hair. Check out my reasoning with them and then check their demeanour.." the two-time MP from industrial Asansol in West Bengal said.
" Identify this Naxalite.. is he a JU student? Even if it’s a yes, he has no business inciting a mob in the manner he did," the BJP leader said and posted some pics of his heckling and assault by the JU students.
Another bearded student, identified as Pawan Shukla, hailing from UP, was also seen with other students targeting Babul Supriyo, who endured torments in the hot and humid condition from 0230 pm onward until the governor himself rescued the beleaguered leader.
The governor also came under attack from the ruling TMC for his rescue operation.
Meanwhile, two FIRs were today lodged with the local police station at Jadavpur - one from SFU alleging ransacking of union room and burning all the articles by the ABVP activists, and one from BJP leader Agnimitra Paul, who was also heckled along with the minister in the campus.
Both SFI and its allies and ABVP have decided to take out rallies around the varsity and in the city to condemn yesterday's lawlessness among the students and their sympathathasiers.
Vice-Chancellor Suranjan Das and pro-Vice-Chancellor Pradip Kumar Ghosh have been admitted to hospital when they felt sick during the agitation were recovering fast.
The two also came under huge criticism for " escape" in the time of trouble on the campus.
Babul Supriyo blamed the VC for lingering the problem as he refused to call the police when the minister suggested to do so before falling dark.
The VC said he would rather quit but to call the police in the campus. Sources said he also defied even the Chancellor order to call the police.
In an unprecedented move, Governor Jagdeep Dhankar rescued the beleaguered union minister into his car and drove out of campus amid protests by the Leftist students, after being stranded for over an hour.
The governor's action happened after vice-chancellor Suranjan Das refused to call the police and reportedly said he would rather quit before calling the force inside the campus.
The governor arrived around at 7 pm in the campus and initially was prevented from going to Babul Supriyo and returned to his car.
After some time he again moved to beleaguered Babul Supriyo with a police escort and got him inside his car.
But his convoy was detained by the Leftist students, who thumped on the bulletproof car and the convoy before it got out of campus around 8: 10 PM from Gate No 3.
