Aviva introduces ‘30-minute claim decision’ for easier claims settlement

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) Aviva Life Insurance, a leading private life insurance company, on Wednesday announced its ‘30-Minute Claim Decision’ service under which the company would provide the family of the customer a decision within 30 minutes on the receipt of the claim.

‘The 30 Minute Claim Decision’ process is focused on ensuring that the death claim request at the branch is processed right away and the customer’s family can get the documents verified at the branch itself. The claim settlement letter is handed over within 30 minutes, hence avoiding the back and forth at the backend.

This new process of claim settlement service is available to Aviva policy beneficiaries with eligible policies that have completed three or more continuous years, in which the claim amount is Rs 15 lakh or less and do not warrant any field verification, Amit Malik, Chief People, Operations and Customer Experience Officer, Aviva Life Insurance, said here.
The necessary documents are needed to be submitted within the working hours on any working day at any Aviva Life Insurance branch. However, in case of an ULIP, if the claim is filed after 1500 hrs then the claim settlement letter is issued on the next working day.
