Avinash Rai Khanna writes to PM, HM to honour memories of martyr soldiers

Chandigarh, Dec 13 (UNI) Bhartiya Janata Party Vice President and Indian Red Cross Society Vice Chairman, Avinash Rai Khanna has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh proposing that photographs and brief history of martyr soldiers of paramilitary forces be displayed in schools and colleges from where they acquired education.
“Honouring the memories of martyr soldiers of para-military forces by displaying their photographs and their brief history in schools/colleges from where they acquired education”.
In his letter, Khanna rued the fact that “martyr soldiers of the paramilitary forces who sacrificed their lives to maintain law and order in the insurgent areas of the country are not remembered for long and background history of their earlier lives remain in oblivion”.
