Assam flood situation steadies; toll mounts to 37

Guwahati, Jul 4 (UNI) The flood situation in Assam steadied with number of affected people and districts decreasing marginally, though the death toll continued to mount.
One deaths each were reported from Tinsukia and Morigaon districts in the last 24 hours, taking the overall toll to 37, Assam State Disaster Management Authority bulletin informed this evening.
The number of affected population has come down from over 13 lakh to 10,75,204 in the last 24 hours, while the affected district figure has also decreased to 18 from 20.
