ASHA workers hold demo in front of DMS office

Puducherry, Dec 9 (UNI) Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers here on Thursday held a demonstration in front of the office of the Director of Medical Services (DMS) to protest against the police detaining an ASHA worker for questioning.
It may be noted that the government is taking several steps to make Union Territory of Puducherry a 100 percent vaccinated state and ASHA workers are visiting door-to-door to vaccinate people.
So far about 13 lakh people had taken their second dose of vaccine. However, in villages several people are reluctant to take the vaccine.
