Around 71 tonnes of paddy procured in Punjab

Chandigarh, Oct 21 (UNI) Punjab government agencies and private millers have procured total 70,92,902 tonnes of paddy in the state till this evening which included 7,36,536 tonnes procured on October 21.
Stating this here on Saturday, an official spokesman said that out of total procurement of 70,92,902 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the government agencies procured 69,01,828 tonnes of paddy till date whereas 1,91,074 tonnes has been procured by millers.
He said that PUNGRAIN had procured 21,95,584 tonnes, MARKFED procured 16,02,346 tonnes, PUNSUP procured 14,64,903 tonnes, PSWC procured 7,55,678 tonnes and PAFC was able to procure 7,11,225 tonnes of paddy. The central government agency FCI had been able to procure 1,72,092 tonnes.
