Srinagar, Oct 21 (UNI) An Army porter was killed and a girl injured when Pakistan violated ceasefire and resorting to unprovoked shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla. Official sources said that Pakistani Rangers resorted to heavy shelling targeting civilians and security force posts along the LoC in Kamal Kote in Uri sector. They said a civilian working as Army porter, identified as Mohammad Abbas, was killed and a girl, Nasreen, was injured in the shelling. The injured girl was immediately taken to a hospital, where her condition is stated to be stable, he said, adding Indian troops also retaliated. This is the second time that Pakistani troops violated ceasefire in the last one week in north Kashmir. On October 15, Pakistani troops targeted forward Indian posts on the LoC in Keran sector in the frontier district of Kupwara. On September 20, Pak troops violated the ceasefire in which one soldier was killed and three others were injured in Keran sector. UNI ABS ASM AKC1711
