APSRTC bus collides with lorry: 24 hurt

Kakinada, Nov 22 (UNI) As many as 24 passengers travelling in the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus were injured when it collided with a Coal-laden lorry near Achampet junction on the city outskirts in the wee hours on Friday.
According to eye witnesses account, the ill-fated bus on its way from Razole to Visakhapatnam was hit by the lorry coming from deep water port at the Achampet cross roads shortly after midnight and overturned.
The Thimmapuram police, who registered a case, said that there were 39 passengers on board the bus at the time of the accident and 24 among them were injured including the bus driver.
