Apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir shuts against death of HM commander

Srinagar, Jun 29 (UNI) A complete shut down paralysed life in apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla today in protest against the killing of a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) top commander in an encounter with security forces in the frontier district of Kupwara.
There were reports of stone pelting incidents at some places in the town and outskirts since this morning.
Though there was no strike call from any organisation, shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was also off the roads. However, few private vehicles were seen plying on some routes.
