Apple executive murder case : SIT probe yet to reach any conclusion, wife given OSD post

Lucknow, Oct 11 (UNI) The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the gruesome murder of Apple executive Vivek Tiwari is yet to reach to any conclusions in which a police constable Prashant Choudhury has been accused, the 'Terhvi' of the deceased is being held at his residence on Thursday.
The Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma is expected to attend the mournful ceremony.
However, on the specific day, Lucknow muncipal commissioner Dr Indramani Tripathi handed over the appointment letter for the post of Officer on Special Duty(OSD) in the Lucknow Nagar Nigam to Kalpana, wife of Vivek.
The post has been specially created by the state government and the appointment letter was thereafter sent to Kalpana Tiwari.
Earlier it was said that Kalpana could be appointed as the PRO but later the government made her the OSD.

UP government has also given Rs 40 lakh in compensation to the family of Vivek Tiwari.
Meanwhile, speculation are rife that the SIT probe may be shelved like other sensational murder cases.

The SIT was set up on September 30, a day after the Apple executive was shot dead in his SUV as he was going to drop his ex-colleague to her home in Vinay Khand, Gomti Nagar.
The team is being headed by IG, Lucknow Range, Sujit Pandey while ASP, Crime, Dinesh Singh and ASP, Rural, Gaurav Grover are the members. Mahanagar SHO Vikas Pandey is also in the team and he is investigating the murder case too.
A day after it was set up, the SIT reconstructed the crime scene and collected details of the entire exercise.
Since then, the SIT conducted several exercises including the technical examination of the bike of the constables and the victim’s SUV.
“Even though the technical report is complete and has been sent to the Mahanagar SHO, the police and the SIT are yet to reach to a conclusion”, sources said here on Thursday.

They added the delay in concluding the probe was fuelling the apprehension that the case would be shelved like other cases. They said the technical examination of the bike of constables and the SUV of Vivek had been completed. Mahanagar SHO confirmed that he had got the report from technical experts (of Motor Transport department of UP police) done on the Vivek’s SUV.
“I am not in a position to disclose the findings of the report as only IG, Lucknow Range, is entitled to speak to the media,” the SHO said while explaining his position.
IG, Lucknow Range, Sujit Pandey could not be contacted for his comment on the issue. Meanwhile, the medical report of accused constables Prashant Chaudhary and Sandeep Kumar will be examined by forensic experts. The aim is to logically conclude the exact sequence of events which took place on the fateful night and later claimed Vivek’s life.

The sources said that the medical report of the accused cops would undergo a Forensic Epidemiological Analysis (FEA) so as to study the cause regarding the onset of injury patterns on the body.
“In the FEA, the injury marks on the body and also its pattern is examined,” said the sources. It was found in the medical examination on Prashant Chaudhary that he had minor contusions on the knee and body pain while Sandeep Kumar also had minor injuries.
Both the accused policemen are presently lodged in the jail.
