Apologize to the nation for the fuel price hike: Minister KTR writes an open letter to the Centre

Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) has written an open letter to the BJP-led Union government demanding an apology to the nation for the skyrocketing fuel prices.
The Minister strongly criticized the central government for burdening the common man with increased fuel prices and stated that they were looting the public by citing international crude oil prices as the reason for the hike.
KTR pointed out that in 2013, when the cost of one crude oil barrel was USD 110, the cost of one litre petrol was Rs 76. However, now, when the cost of one crude oil barrel is USD 66, the cost of one litre petrol is Rs 110. KTR added that the Modi government is increasing prices to benefit a few corporates and is fleecing the poor and middle-class public. The Minister further added that the 45% hike in fuel prices since 2014 has led to an increase in the cost of all essential commodities.
