New Delhi (India), March 22:Apeejay School of Management (ASM) in Dwarka successfully hosted the 13th International Conference on Management Practices and Research in collaboration with EM Normandie, France. The two-day event centered around the themes of Sustainability, Innovation, and Digitization, attracting senior academicians, and research scholars from various universities.
Dr. Etinder Pal Singh, Deputy Director of ASM, inaugurated the conference, setting the tone for discussions on key themes. In his address, he highlighted the pressing need for these elements in contemporary management practices.
Ms. AnubhutiBhrany, Senior Director of Sustainability & Head of Government Affairs, India, Flex Limited, was the Guest of Honour, who delivered an enlightening address on the practical applications of sustainability in daily life. She emphasized conscious consumer choices and the imperative to mitigate environmental impact.
Further, keynote speaker Ms. Manisha Srivastava, Associate Practice Director at Birlasoft, shared insights on purpose-driven living in the context of sustainability. She highlighted the pivotal role of sustainability in infusing actions with purpose and impact.
Research Paper Sessions:
The conference featured five technical sessions on Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, and General Management. Scholars from different universities presented insightful research papers, contributing to enriching discussions.
Day 2: Pre-Conference Workshop
A pre-conference workshop preceded the main event, providing an in-depth exploration of pertinent topics. Dr. Pritha Dutta, Assistant Professor at Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Wilamette University, led a session on the utilization of AI bots, exemplified by ChatGPT, in modern workplaces. The workshop delved into the multifaceted applications of AI bots in streamlining processes, enhancing productivity, and fostering innovation.
Subsequently, the conference hosted a “Meet the Editors” session featuring Dr. Sameer Deshpande, Chief Editor of Social Marketing Quarterly, and Dr. K. Mathiyazhagan, Associate Editor of Technological Forecasting and Change. The editors shared their insights on using social media as a transformative tool for digitization, emphasizing its role in facilitating digital connectivity and driving socio-economic change.
The two-day event concluded with a vote of thanks extended by Dr. Vernika Agarwal, Associate Professor at ASM, who expressed gratitude for thought-provoking discussions, fruitful collaborations, and a shared commitment to advancing sustainability, digitisation, and innovation globally.
