AP reports 1,555 new COVID-19 positive cases, 13 more deaths since last 24 hrs

Vijayawada, Jul 9 (UNI) In a massive surge of Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh, as many as 1,555 positive cases were reported since the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases to 23,814 while 13 more patients died taking the death toll to 277.
A health bulletin here on Thursday said that 16,882 samples of persons were tested from 9 am on Wednesday to 9 am this morning and of which 1,555 persons were tested positive for Coronavirus.
Of them, 1500 persons belonging to AP, 53 to other States and two were foreign returnees.
