AP Assembly Speaker falls off cycle, sustains minor injuries

Guntur, Apr 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Shiva Prasad Rao sustained minor injuries, when he fell off a cycle at Yelamanda village on Thursday, while participating in a cycle rally, extending solidarity to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is to sit on fast on Friday in protest against the Centre’s attitude.
The Speaker led a huge cycle rally from his home town Narasarao Pet to pilgrim centre and hill shrine Kotappa Konda. Hundreds of TDP activists followed him in the rally. The Speaker reached Yalamanda village by peddling cycle. A cyclist lost balance and hit the Speaker’s cycle, following which he fell down on road.
The Speaker sustained minor injuries on knee and hand. However, unmindful of injuries, the Speaker continued to pedal his cycle and led the cycle rally.
