Antique idols stolen from temple

Hajipur, Nov 03 (UNI) Two antique idols were stolen from a temple in Vaishali district late last night.
Police said here today that the 200-year old idols of Lord Shiva and Parvati were stolen from Bavan Pokhar temple under Vaishali police station area. Sources said the temple priest found the idols missing when he removed the curtain of the sanctum sanctorum.
Police said that idols were recovered during excavation of Bavan Pokhar pond. Raids were being conducted to nab the thieves and recover the idols, sources added.
