Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Minister, Anil Deshmukh was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Tuesday in an alleged money laundering case.

While granting bail, Justice NJ Jamadar asked Deshmukh to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and sureties of the like amount and also put conditions on him for attendance before the trial court and the investigating agency.
The bail order will be effective from October 13 to enable ED to file appeal before Supreme Court, the High Court directed.
Deshmukh will, however, continue to be lodged in judicial custody in Arthur Road prison since he is also being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in corruption case.
Deshmukh and his associates are being investigated for alleged corruption between 2019 and 2021.
They booked him after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a corruption case against him following allegations made by former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh.
The ED claimed that Deshmukh misused his official position and collected Rs 4.7 crore from various bars and restaurants in Mumbai.
