Agartala, Jan 24 (UNI) The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has completed the primary survey work and feasibility study for alternative railway track construction to connect Dharmanagar of North Tripura with Belonia of South Tripura via Agartala and western bordering town Sonamura.
While applauding the success of central government Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb yesterday said in the NEC plenary Session at Shillong that the process of preparing the final report for the alternative railway link between North Tripura and South Tripura through West Tripura would be submitted soon.
The Final Location Survey (FLS) for the alternative railway link would be taken up by NFR after getting approval of the Railway Board, Deb said adding that railway connectivity of Tripura has got a facelift after Modi led government came to power in 2014 and over last six years railway become the main mode of transportation in the state.
