Taking cognisance of reports of fake Caste Certificates furnished by the students, who got Engineering seats under the reserved category across the country, the AICTE, in a circular issued on January 5, has requested all its approved institutions to create a mechanism to identify cases of fake SC/ST/OBC certificates during admission process of students and inform the same to the Council for needful action.In reply to another question, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Col Rajyavardhan Rathore (Retd) told Shimla MP Virender Kashyap that there was no proposal under consideration of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to make DD and AIR as separate corporate entities.
