After tulip, rose, leelam and lilly gardens to come up in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 21 (UNI) After setting up Asia’s largest Tulip garden which has advanced the tourist season by more than a month, the government has announced that rose, leelam and lilly gardens will be set up here.
Secretary, Tourism and Floriculture, Farooq Ahmad Shah said the Tulip garden on the foot of Zabarwan hills overlooking famed Dal Lake, has become very popular tourist destination here. It has advanced the tourist season by more than a month as tourists, from different parts of the country and abroad besides film units are visiting the garden. However, he said the Tulips season lasts a month.
Mr Shah said Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is taking keen interest in boosting the floriculture sector in Kashmir.
