About 3,000 people booked for attacking police station over Adani Port

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 28 (UNI) About 3,000 people were booked on Monday in connection with the attack on Vizhinjam police station last night by the anti-port protestors led by priests of the Thiruvananthapuram archdiocese of the Catholic Church (Latin rites).
Demanding an immediate end to the construction work at the Adani Port, the agitators laid seige to the police station demanding the release of 5 people who were booked for attacking those supporting the port and damaging trucks carrying construction materials to the Adani's port on Saturday.
The agitators also vandalised 4 jeeps, 2 vans and 20 bikes, held police personnel hostage, causing injury to 12 policemen on Sunday night.
