AAP slams govt for failing to find solution to water crisis faced by Panaji

AAP slams govt for failing to find solution to water crisis faced by Panaji

Panaji, Aug 21 (UNI) Aam Adami Party (AAP) in Goa has slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state for being unable to find a solution to water crisis faced by residents of capital city.
Speaking to UNI, AAP leader Valmiki Naik said,'There is major crisis in Tiswadi Taluka, specially in urban areas like Panaji city where there is high density of population and high demand for water. For the last seven days there is no drop of water and so far nobody has taken responsibility for it. It is fault of Public Works Department (PWD) which should provide alternative emergency service of water supply. But it has failed and PWD minister has tried to blame engineers for this. He did not understand the responsibility when he jumped party to become PWD minister. He only wants benefits and positions and perks of the ministership.'
Mr Naik also accused Chief Minister Pramod Sawant of not doing enough to address the crisis in spite of the fact that he has official residence in the city.
