9 killed and 20 others injured after a speeding vehicle hit them

Muzaffarpur, Feb 24 (UNI) At least 9 school children were killed and more than 20
others injured when a speeding vehicle hit them under Meenapur police station
area in this district today.
Confirming the incident, police superintendent Vivek Kumar said here that the
vehicle hit the children when its driver apparently lost control over his vehicle due
to high speed.
Sources said the mishap took place when children were crossing a road.
Sources said that children were returning to their residences after their
classes were over at Dharmpur primary school.
Police said the injured had been admitted to Sri Krishna Medical College and
Hospital.
