Imphal, Sep 7 (UNI) : In the past twenty-four hours, 64 persons (48M, 16F) from general population and 20 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases were from VRDL, JNIMS- 20; Thoubal - 13; Kangpokpi -1; Shija Hospital - 2; Imphal West RAT - 5; Imphal East - 4; Senapati TrueNat — 1; Advance Hospital — 1; Jiribam — 7; CMC -1; RIMS RAT (5); Bishnupur (4); Kakching (1); Samaritan Hospital (2); Babina Diagnostics (10); Raj Medicity (4); Churachandpur (3). They were from Imphal West - 14; Imphal East - 16; Kangpokpi -2; Chandel -3; Noney - 1; Thoubal -8; Jiribam - 7; Kakching -1; Churachandpur — 5; Bishnupur - 7. Thirteen persons (Bishnupur — 4; Imphal West - 5; Churachandpur -3; Chandel - 1) were returnees from other states while the rest 51 were without any significant travel history. They were being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place. Today, there was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths is 38.
In the past twenty-four hours, 194 persons were discharged. They were from CAPF (32), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (31), Senapati (1), Jiribam (16), Kangpokpi (2), UNACCO (64), Noney (1), CCC Thoubal (28), JNIMS (3), JNV Chandel (4) and PR Kakching (12) after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.
