New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) India shooter Kynan Chenai today clinched bronze in the men's trap event of the ongoing 7th Asian Championship Shotgun at Astana, Kazakhstan. After a score of 116 out of 125, Kynan qualified for the six men final round and later, shot a score of 30 in the finals to finish third. This was also his first international medal at the senior level. On the other hand, Kuwait's Abdulrahman Al Faihan, who shot 39 to set a new Asian finals record, bagged gold while his fellow countryman Talal AlRashidi clinched silver after a shot of 38. Other Indians, Zoravar Singh Sandhu and Birendeep Sodhi finished at the 17th place and 36th place respectively. While Sandhu scored 110, Sodhi shot a score of 98. In the Team section, India was placed at the seventh place after a combined score of 324 and has bagged two gold and one bronze so far. Kuwait finished at the first place with gold while Lebabnon and UAE settled for silver and bronze respectively. UNI KU SHK 2019
