5th International Day of Diplomats to be celebrated on Oct 24

Antananarivo, Oct 23 (UNI) In order to acknowledge the role of diplomats in making our world a better place, October 24 wil be marked as International Diplomats Day across the globe.
Indian Ambassador to Madagascar Abhay K., Indian poet-diplomat, said that the celebration of International Day of Diplomats was started in Brasilia by Mr Abhay K. himself on October 24, 2017 and since then it is celebrated annually on the day.
The celebration aims to underline the critical role played by diplomats as everyday peace warriors in facilitating dialogue among countries, maintaining peace, and in promoting cultural, commercial and people to people exchange, he informed.
