Panaji, Dec 22 (UNI) Padma Bhushan Professor Padmanabhan Balaram, an Indian biochemist and former Director of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, inaugurated the XLII (42nd) All India Cell Biology Conference (ISCB) on the theme of ‘Trends in Cell and Molecular Biology’ at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus.
According to a statement here on Saturday, Professor Jagat Roy, Professor at Department of Zoology, BHU, Varanasi, and President of Indian Society of Cell Biology; Professor Raghurama G, Director of BITS Pilani Goa Campus; Professor Angshuman Sarkar, Faculty at Department of Biological Sciences of BITS Pilani Goa Campus and Convenor of the Conference; and Professor Vijayashree Nayak, Acting HoD of Department of Biological Sciences of BITS Pilani Goa Campus addressed the audience during the inaugural function.
The prestigious conference, scheduled from December 21 to 23, 2018, is being held for the first time in Goa and is organized by Department of Biological Sciences of BITS Pilani Goa Campus.
