39 ATMs of SBI functional in North Goa

Panaji, Apr 2 (UNI) As many as 39 ATMs of State Bank of India (SBI) in North Goa Region are functional and having sufficient cash to take care of the need of the customers visiting ATMs for withdrawal purpose.
According to a statement, State Bank of India, North Goa Region, is having 41 ATMs being maintained by the Bank, out of which 39 ATMs are in working condition. One ATM is closed due to the theft attempt made at the ATM and now the ATM will be up only after getting the requisite parts which is required to be supplied from from Chennai. Further, one ATM which was placed in a hotel at Candolim is closed due to thelock down.
Remaining, all 39 ATMs are functional and having sufficient cash to take care of the need of the customers visiting ATMs for withdrawal purpose.
Special Team is taking care of the availability of all these ATMs and sincere efforts are being put in by all concerned at State Bank of India and the involved agencies to keep these ATMs functional. Adequate cash availability is being ensured to serve the people in this time of need.
Additionally, one ATM Mobile VAN of the Bank is also moving across the state of Goa for providing facility of cash withdrawal by the public.
The ATM VAN is being positioned at 3-4 places during the day to cater to the need in the district of North Goa and South Goa on alternate day basis. Also, in this initiative, Goa Police has joined hands with State Bank of India and facilitating placement of ATMs at different places so that doorstep banking (Cash Withdrawal facility through mobile ATM) can be provided to the public of Goa during the lockdown period so that the public may need not visit Bank branches for withdrawal purpose. Under this initiative, this Doorstep service has catered the need of 65 persons on April 1, 2020.
"Considering the present situation, now it is also conceptualized to operationalize one more moving ATM (makeshift) so that Mobile ATMs will be taking care of the need of the public of the State in both the districts on daily basis in this lockdown period," the statement said.
