Mumbai, April 22 (UNI) The nomination forms of 317 candidates in 11 constituencies of Maharashtra that goes to polls in the third phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections were found to be valid after scrutiny, the Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer has said.
Voting in the third phase will be held on May 7, for which 522 applications by 361 candidates were filed but the poll body rejected 44 of them after scrutiny.
Those okayed comprise 21 from the Raigad seat, Baramati-46, Osmanabad-35, Latur-31, Solapur-32, Madha-38, Sangli-25, Satara-21, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg-9, Kolhapur-27 and Hatkanangle - 32,they added.
