19 cardiac surgeries, 16 knee replacements conducted in 3 months in Katra Hospital

Jammu, Jul 22 (UNI) As many as 19 cardiac surgeries and 16 knee replacements were conducted in the past three months at Super Specialty Hospital, Katra in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
‘’Since the commencement of hospital services from April 19, nearly 19,000 OPD patients have been treated and 868 indoor patients while performed 279 surgeries, many of these were extremely critical, which included 19 major cardiac surgeries (open heart) besides 16 Total Knee Replacements,’’ an official spokesman here said.
He said the details were shared during review meeting by the Governing Body, which took a detailed review of the to-date status of the OPD and IPD patients treated, major surgeries performed and number of diagnostic tests conducted at this Hospital since its inauguration.
