135 more test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal ; death toll mounts to 31

Itanagar, Oct 21 (UNI) As many as 135 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to 13778, while one more death pushed the fatalities toll to 31.
Of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) reported the highest at 35, followed by Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) 20 and East Siang 14, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).
Nine each cases were also reported from Upper Subansiri and West Siang, eight cases from Namsai, five from Papum Pare, four from Lower Subansiri, three from Pakke Kessang, two each from West Kameng,Tirap, Lohit and Siang, one each from East Kameng,Kurung Kumey,Changlang and Longding, it said.
All the cases are asymptomatic except 42.
According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, a 23-year-old man expired on Tuesday morning at 0930 hours at DCH. He was admitted to the facility yesterday for pneumonia. He was suffering from late stage carcinoma with metastases to the lungs along with severe anaemia.
On the other hand, the recoveries tally rose to 11035 as 255 patients were discharged. Active cases stands at 2712.
