100 Van Dhan Vikas Kendra to be established in Manipur: Forest minister Awangbow

Imphal, Jul 18 (UNI) Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Awangbow Newmai today announced that the central government has agreed to open additional 100 VDVKs in the State.
He also informed that the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (TRIFED) will fund the scheme for the storage of the forest products and construction of hut bazars in the border areas.
He inspected the Kaziphung Van Dhan Vikas Kendra (VDVK) at Hungpung and Ukhrul Central VDVK, Rashing Hall at Awungtang in Ukhrul district. He also visited the Duncan Ecological Park, Somsai.
