Bengaluru, Sept 19 (UNI) Strongly refuting the allegations by Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa that his father and he are running the JDS-Congress coalition government and it is functioning as a Commission Agent, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today charged that "it was
Mr Yeddyurappa who introduced Commission system in Politics while in power."
"It was Mr Yeddyurappa who created percentage Politics during his tenure as Chief Minister and now blaming us without any basis. We are trying to provide most transparent administration and such baseless allegations were uncalled for from a person who is more than my age and holding an important position," he added.
Speaking to newsmen after calling on Minister D K Shivakumar, who was undergoing treatment at Apolo Hospital here on Thursday,
Mr Kumaraswamy charged that "it was Mr Yeddyurappa and his party leaders who indulged in looting State and Country's natural wealth. They are the real looters."
Warning that Mr Yeddyurappa should maintain his dignity and should not make baseless allegations against him and his father who served as Prime Minister, Mr Kumaraswamy said "he should be careful before making any charges against my family. Earlier he was stating that he will send both Father and son to jail if he comes to power, but the fact is that he (Mr Yeddyurappa) was the one who went to jail and not us."
Alleging that BJP is still indulged in 'Operation Kamal',
Mr Kumaraswamy alleged that last night MLA Shivalli was contacted by Mr Yeddyurappa and tried to lure him by stating that 18 MLAs have agreed to switch over. "According to informations, BJP will take 18 MLAs to Maharashtra and bring them with military force to Vidhana Soudha, the State secretariat, to take over the charge. I am getting the details about their minute to minute move and I very well know when to make them public. Even now meeting is going on in Bowring institute to lure Legislature Suresh Gowda."
"If I reveal the true picture of Mr Yeddyurappa and remove the mask he is wearing to mislead the public, then he will not be having a place to hide," Mr Kumaraswamy alleged.
Mr Kumaraswamy directly warned Mr Yeddyurappa to be careful before raising the baseless issues against his family. "Everybody knows the strictures passed against Mr Yeddyurappa by the Supreme Court on Shivaram Karanth Layout issue," he added.
Mr Kumaraswamy's outburst comes in the wake of Mr Yeddyurappa yesterday stating that "father and son are running the government and Ministers are passing the bills only after getting 8 to 10 per cent commission."
