US Embassy warns of West Bank checkpoint closures, cites medical and humanitarian exceptions

Jerusalem, Sep 27 (UNI) The US Embassy in Jerusalem on Sunday issued a security alert warning that checkpoints across the West Bank will remain closed from September 27 to October 3, restricting regular movement into Israel except for strictly medical and humanitarian reasons. According to the alert, Jerusalem ID holders will continue to be allowed to commute and travel freely, while Arbel permit holders will not be permitted to cross checkpoints, including by shuttle.
